Session 1

Introduction to Mental Health

Mental Health is an extremely crucial part of an individual’s overall health. However, it is also the least understood and most undervalued aspect of one’s well-being. According to the World Health Organisation, one in four people worldover are affected by a mental or neurological condition at some point in their lives. The lack of awareness, shame and stigma around mental health inhibits us to initiative conversations around it, giving way to a lot of misconceptions. This course is an attempt to acquaint you to what is mental health, bust some common myths around mental health conditions, normalise not being okay and giving you some teeny-tiny everyday tips to work towards sound mental health.

Let us all make our mental health a priority.
